The Rotunda Overseas IVF Patient (ROIP) Program | ||
Our pregnancy rates are very high, because we can transfer more embryos in difficult patients ( unlike clinics in UK and Australia, where the number of embryos which can be transferred is limited by law). While transferring more embryos does increase the risk of high-order multiple pregnancies, this risk is negligible in difficult patients ( for example, the older women or women with previous failed IVF cycles). In our clinic, we customize the number of embryos we transfer for each patient we treat, rather than just blindly follow a guideline ( which has been laid down for the general population, without considering each individual's specific problem). Coming to Bombay (Mumbai) for IVF is extremely easy. Bombay (Mumbai) is a major metropolis, and has its own international airport.Your husband can accompany you, or you can hand-carry his frozen sperm in a dry shipper (which you will need to borrow from your local infertility clinic). The clinic is at the base of Pali Hill, Bandra, just 20 minutes from the International airport, and is truly in the heart of Bollywood country (Beverley hills of India!). IVF treatment is done on a day-care basis, so you do not need hospitalization at all. We have tied up with a ground logistics company whose team of professional managers works round the clock to make your stay comfortable, facilitating a 'home away from home' experience. Be it receiving you at the airport, overseeing your hospital stay arrangements, hotel bookings, local transport, ticketing and visa support, sightseeing, or just helping you pick a last minute gift for your family back home. You can contact our Travel Manager, Ms Celina , at travelnlogistics@gmail.com You only need to make 4 - 6 visits to the clinic during the entire cycle, and after the embryo transfer, you can fly back home. Over half our patients come to us from out of Bombay; and a quarter of all our patients come from overseas, so we are very experienced in meeting your special needs. To make the process as easy as possible for you, we have developed protocols that allow you to interact easily with us by email at rotundachr@gmail.com. You can have all your preliminary testing and care performed by your own doctor in your own town. This means that with well-planned scheduling, you only need to spend about 10 to 15 days at our clinic to complete an IVF cycle of treatment. We now have patient referees in all parts of the world and their list is put up at http://www.iwannagetpregnant.com/global.shtml Our patients have been surprised and pleased at the convenience that our system offers them. In fact, many feel that it is easier to be treated at Rotunda, than to take treatment in their own home city. In addition, taking off 10 to 14 days in a relaxed setting, where you can bond with your partner and with us can only help promote an optimal outcome. An IVF/ICSI cycle in our clinic costs Rs 90,000 (cycle fees - inclusive of fees for Ovum pick-up, embryo transfer, follicular monitoring, laboratory work) plus cost of injections approx. Rs 120,000 depending on doses required (If high doses are required, this cost could be more than 150,000). A Donor Egg cycle costs Rs 200,000 (including payment for the egg donor). For all currency conversions refer to http://www.eforexindia.com/curencyconvert.asp. Part payments for cycle fees could be done by Direct Bank transfers. You can check details for the same at http://www.iwannagetpregnant.com/banktransfers.shtml. Why is IVF so much less expensive in India as compared to the US, even though we use exactly the same technology and the same equipment and culture medium as labs in the US do? The answer is simple -- Indian doctors charge much less than doctors in the US -- and this is why IVF treatment is such a bargain in our clinic. Thus, the cost for a consultation at our clinic is only Rs 600 ( US $ 15) - a fraction of what doctors in the West charge ! Indian doctors, like Indian computer professionals , have proven they are as good as anyone in the world, but because India is still a developing country, they charge much less than their colleagues in the West. There is also much less administrative paperwork, keeping overheads low, allowing us to offer cost-effective services to our patients. We offer comprehensive services, in a plush facility on the ground floor of a premium residential facility in a quiet neighbourhood. These include:
